Looking for a different Orienteering experience, this event will be a bit different to your nomal bush event and is set Trail Orienteering style. So while cross country routes will still be an option, longer trail routes will be there for those that want to stretch out and run the tracks.

SWOT logoIt is not an April Fool joke! The weekend of April 1st & 2nd will see SWOT hosting a double header event in Bunbury.  Come enjoy Autumn Orienteering in Bunbury.

The weekend kicks offs with courses in the Maidens Park and the southern edge of the city. Ricky Thackray has been rewarded for his great results at the Victorian MTBO championships with selection in the Australian MTBO team heading to the world championship events in Lithuania later this year. After placing 2nd in the sprint, 1st in the long distance and 1st in the middle distance at the event, which were also the selection races, Ricky earnt his place on the Australian team.

The second NavDash outing for 2017 is on a Sunday morning, taking advantage of a brand new map at John Curtin College of the Arts. There will be plenty of navigational challenges including some small areas of bush next to the school coupled with the school grounds.

The location is close to the many Fremantle coffee shops, perfect for an après-run fix and you’ll be ready to enjoy the OWA Annual General Meeting that will follow immediately after the event.

NavDash returns for 2017 at one of Perth’s most popular campus maps, with a Saturday afternoon event at Curtin University kicking things off.

NavDash are short distance (2-3.5kms), line courses where controls must be visited in the numerical order shown for each course, making the most of the complex buildings and passages of a university campus. The hard courses are navigationally challenging while the easy course is more suitable for novices and children.

Weekly training is available in Perth based in two areas, one west and one east of the city. Training in the west is on Thursday evenings and in the east on Friday evenings, so if you are super keen you can get in two training sessions a week! All sessions run from 5.30-6.30pm.
