The Australian Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships are this year set to be held in the red centre, Alice Springs, on the 'long' weekend of June 14-16 2014. The tracks around this area have been unofficially voted as the 'second best trails you'll find in the world' (source unknown).

Head down to Bunbury this weekend for a weekend full of orienteering. On Saturday, it is the first State O League event with the first OY (Orienteer of the Year) points to be awarded in 2014 at the Australind High School NavDash. The first Mountain Bike orienteering event for the year will be held in bushland in the Kelmscott/Martin area of the Perth hills. This is a great area to get on your bike,hit the hills and hone those navigational skills.

The WA Nomads elite orienteering team, represented by West Leederville brothers Oscar and Henry McNulty, was very successful at the first National Orienteering League events for 2014, held in Brisbane over the weekend. The first of the NavDash events for 2014 will be at Joondalup Learning Precinct. A NavDash event is a short course on a complex map such as a university campus. Navigation is relatively easy but can be tricky when running at full speed. Fast, furious and fun!

Mullalloo
The final MetrO Series event for the 2013/2014 season will start from Charonia Park, Mullalloo on Saturday 22nd February. The competition will be on a new map by Ricky Thackray, and will decide the overall Series categories.
