Sunday 7 August 2016

This area has been used infrequently, but exhibits a range of differing vegetation types. For those that entered the excellent Malmalling SW event set by Noel Schoknecht, this area is completely different. There are few (if any) forests of grass trees to obscure your running, but there are a number of different terrains to test your navigation and fitness. Whatever you do on a Sunday do not miss this event!

Sunday 5th June

Location: Dryandra Woodlands Village

Warm up for the WA Classic weekend at Dryandra by first exploring the trails in a return to the bush for MTBO. Dryandra has a complex track network around the Woodlands Village where you can see some of WA’s best bush and it is relatively flat riding for the most part. Ideal for beginners.

Sunday 5th June and Monday 6th June

Location: Dryandra Woodland near Narrogin

Dryandra consists of quite widely spaced terrain of gullies, spurs and breakaways. It is largely covered by forest with little to no understory; interspersed with moderate to dense stands of dryandra and other shrubs. There are numerous tracks and this is generally very fast running country. It promises to be a fantastic event!

Courses: Either day can be entered as a stand-alone single day event but only those people who

Sunday 29 May 2016

Close to Perth, this area in the SW of Malmalling offers some great navigational challenges, with lots of rock (and a few hills) and not too much green stuff!

The map has been recently updated with some new tracks and theclear-felling of some of the pine plantations which adds to the navigational choices. Recent rains have greened up the open areas and softened the bush so it should be a great day to come out to the area that was first used in 1998.

Courses are set to OWA
