Saturday 12th May & Sunday 13th 2018
We were blessed with fine weather for the May Mountain Bike Orienteering Weekend down south. Ricky set and taped courses for both days, taking in the challenging terrain of Wellington Forest (including the single tracks of the Mt Lennard MTB Trails) and the more rideable forestry area of Bussell Brook.
The highlight of finishing on both days was the yummy food (cakes and Tash’s sausages).
Everyone who could pitched in to help as needed. Thanks are due to: Ricky who set and taped the courses before disappearing to remote Queensland; Tash and Jack who stepped in to run the events; computer operator Richard who, with Debbie, also transported a lot of the equipment needed for both days; Ellie who helped put out the controls for the Sunday event and, with Sue, assisted Richard with admin tasks; Tash, Caroline, Debbie and Sue who provided the yummy food for hungry finishers; the Martin family for returning the hire toilet to Bunbury; and control collectors Ellie and Hadrien, Tom, Robert, both Daniels, Mason, Tash and Caroline, and Jack.
