MTBO Skills Camp Pemberton 11th - 14th January 2018
Pemberton Camp School was overrun with MTB Orienteers, both skilled and newcomers to the sport learning the basics of map reading, course setting and riding the trails to improve their abilities. There were a range of attendees from juniors to veterans all with different levels of riding abilities. Overall 19 people attended across the four days from Perth, Bunbury and two ladies from Albany! Everyone is now looking forward to putting their newfound skills to the test at our next event.
Special thanks go to Alison Martin for organising the camp, Duncan Sullivan for running course setting and mapping workshops and also for spending much of his time in Pemberton drawing up a map of the area for us to train on, Ricky Thackray for the maps and activities, Tash Sparg for teaching basic bike repairs, Richard Begley for setting the "Camp Champs" for all riders on Sunday morning and to everyone for the food!
