5-7th July 2025

We really liked the quiz night,
We learnt a lot in the bush,
Lake Leschenaultia is a really good sight,
And I am glad the food here is not moosh.

We played a lot of fuse ball,
Spoony mcspoon face was the star player,
Some of the coaches are very tall,
It was a great camp overall.

The camp was on a plot of land next to Lake Leschenaultia. On day 1 we unpacked our bags before being bussed to Peterdine where we took part in exercises including a line course, control picking and a peg sprint. That night for dinner we had a roast followed by a large fire and toasted marshmallows. We finished the night watching the JWOC Sprint Relay.

After a comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast we set off for Yetar Springs. Everyone (but Rohan) completed their respective course with some minor and some major errors. Following this we went to Lake Leschenaultia where we completed various sprint orienteering courses set by Sten. We also did a small terrain running activity aimed at improving our running efficiency through the bush. After a bit of free time we devoured Mexican Nachos and ice cream for dessert. We then had a quiz held by Liam (Lachie's team won), and finished off watching the rest of the JWOC sprint relay. The next morning, some of the older kids went for a scenic morning run around the lake before consuming another hearty breakfast.
