The event ran smoothly both at the assembly area and at the starts. Having the Junior Camp participants present certainly enlivened the day! The only difference to a normal event was extending the start time to 12pm to allow those assisting on the Camp to run an additional course.
Quoting a participant: "Perfect weather, lovely open bush and an interesting course - the way we'd like orienteering to be!" And we were entertained by the trail bike riders in the vicinity.
Thanks are due to many people, firstly to the setter, Matt Seward, and to Craig Dufty for taping and map printing. Thanks also to Marianne Moloney for helping put out controls, and to control collectors and packer-uppers Nigel Wade, Penny and Michael Dufty, Jack Dowling, Hadrien Devillepoix, Ellie Sansom and Amaia, and Sue Dowling. Jack towed the caravan while Rob Beattie, Paul Dowling and Jack collectively towed the toilet. Thanks to the computer operators, Rosalie McCauley and Jack Dowling.
