Carine Senior High School

On a splendid autumn day Carine Senior High School hosted the fourth instalment of the NavDash Sprint Orienteering Series, drawing over 90 enthusiastic participants. Amidst the vibrant atmosphere, multiple competitors were tested across multiple levels in multiple locations on a dynamic three-dimensional map.

The Long-Hard category saw Oliver Martin triumph over Liam Dufty and Joseph Coleman, with Kate Braid taking line honours from Rachel West and Zali Dale.

In the Short-Hard category Mike Howe held off Fraser Brownlie and Peter Hamilton, and Susan Coleman out-navigated Ekaterina Kliukina and Anna Napier.

Newcomers Patrick Borgas, Sebastian Beyer and JP Duez made light work of the Easy course.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event including: Moreen Cox as Organiser, Setup Assistance from Liisa Hirvonen, and Control Collecting by Rosemary Kullman (also assisted in setup), Edward Plummer, Anna Napier, Mike Howe, Katherine Lommers, Neve Lommers, Max Fagerlind, Tucker Ellery, and Amy Dufty. A special note of gratitude from the setters goes to the incorrigible Nick Dale for his invaluable guidance and expertise as Mapper and Controller. And last but not least, a big thank you to the setters of this fabulous event, Mark and Quinn Lommers.
