Garvey Park, Belmont
Ninety nine orienteers enjoyed competing on a beautiful morning at Garvey Park on a map recently upgraded by Ricky Thackray.
The courses were set by Volker Gartz and Vanessa Smith and Robert Craeig assisted on the morning putting out controls. As with all events there are many people who make it a success so thanks to Kate, Lachlan, Rohan, Ruben, Joseph and Graham for collecting controls and for all those who assisted newcomers, of whom we had quite a few. Many thanks to Volker and Vanessa for providing us with entertaining courses.
And a big thanks to everyone who provided cakes and fruit for morning tea to fortify us for the AGM. A prize must go to Anna Napier, our President, for running the shortest AGM on record.
