Saturday 23rd - Monday 25th April

Bunbury region

Overall SWOT wishes to thank everyone that attended (an pre-entered!), especially those who traveled from Mandurah and Perth to support our events. We all know the hard work it takes to set up and run the events but it makes it all worthwhile when people come and enjoy the courses - so thank you!

Evedon Ridge - Sat 23rd April

2022 SWOT Anzac report1 smallOur first Bush event for the year ran smoothly and we were blessed with fine weather - sunshine and a light breeze and stunning views. We thank the Offer family for their continuing support they give our club by welcoming us to their rolling farmland. Peter O'Loughlin and Harry Nicholson set the event, with Robyn Phillips providing event management and administrative support. Thanks also to Don Mason who hauled the portaloo up and back down the hill. Thank you to those who collected controls (Toomey family, Bosman family, Elderfield's, Harry).

We had a total attendance of 77 (38 pre-entries, including 12 Juniors) and 39 EOD - of which 23 were children. We welcomed Scouts from Carey Park Scout Group and also Donnybrook Scout Group -- great to see them back for our bush event.

Feedback from runners was really positive, though those on the longer courses felt the warm weather and with the climb some thought they might 'feel it' in the morning.

Bunbury CBD - Sun 24th April

Our last Urban Event for the year also ran well with most getting to start a little earlier. Again we were blessed with fine weather and newcomers to the Bunbury CBD found the courses to be interesting and at times catching the odd wall mural along the way. We had a total attendance of 43 (31 pre-entries, including 9 Juniors) and 12 EOD.

Thanks to Jill Elderfield for setting the course, with Robyn Phillips providing administration. Club members assisted with setup and pack up which was great, with assistance from Peter Elderfield, Harry Nicholson, Don Mason, Bosman family and Peter O'Loughlin.

The Bunbury CBD Sprint results are available on Eventor.

Big Swamp MapRun6

The MapRun was available from 10am Saturday until 6pm Sunday and the results indicate 10 runners had a go at a course. The majority going for a short stroll - Rosemary and Moreen....did you stop for a coffee at the last control before heading for the finish? :)

Find the MapRun results on Eventor.
