OWA Events

Entry for all events can be made in advance through Eventor.
Enter-on-the day is available, but pre-entry is preferred and is required for Championship courses.

As this weekend's events are officially Championship events, online entries are closed for:
NavDash 3 ECU Joondalup (WA State Sprint Championships) being held on Saturday 19 September; and
Bush 9 Avon Valley (WA State Long Distance Championships) being held on Saturday 20 September.

Anyone wanting to run a course at an event this weekend is most welcome to enter on the day.   You will not be able to start until after all championship competitors have started so no need to arrive too early, though please check the cut-off timings for registration.

With the public holiday next weekend, we are heading down to Narrogin for 3 days of events.
Entries are open for all 3 events.
Entries for the standard events close on Thursday 24th September.
The event on Sunday 27th September is the WA Middle Distance Championships, so online entries for that will close at midnight on Sunday 20th September so start times etc can be organised.
If you don't enter in advance, we'd still love to see you and entries on the day are possible.

Entries are also open for the Club Relay event at UWA on Sunday 4th October.
Members are all encouraged to enter and help their club win the Rutty Rock and B&O trophies.  If you're a newer member and aren't sure what's involved, talk to your club convenor or anyone at an upcoming event.
If you're not a member (yet), you are still most welcome to attend and run as an individual.  Just turn up and enter on the day for this NavDash (sprint-style) event.

Orienteering is a sport for all ages and abilities. Children, families and groups can enjoy some exercise and a fun outdoor challenge, while at the top end of the field elite athletes can race against tough competition up to an international level.

The best way to find out more about orienteering is to come along to any event! NavDash Events in particular are a great way to start as there's not far to go to get there.  We're trying to avoid beginner's briefings while we have to socially distance but we will ensure you know what you're doing before you head out on a course.  So sign up, come along, enjoy yourself in the outdoors and get involved in a fun, healthy activity.
