Garvey Park, Ascot

An interesting venue close to Perth on a perfect autumn day encouraged both members and newcomers to do a course or two. (tRicky, the running machine, did every course). Three sprint courses and one easy course were on offer. Despite being longer than recommended, the longer courses proved the most popular. Sunshine and route choices through water enticed many runners to take a splash. Vicky Brownlie and Mason Eves tried, but just got muddy; Gary Aitkin succeeded and was dunked up to his neck in a drain.

This was a KO event, and the computer decided that everyone was a KO member for the day. However, at the end of the event it was the Braids, Colemans, Heike, Veronica, Sten and Andries who collected the controls. A huge thank you goes to Dave and Wendy for towing the caravan, helping with the equipment, and as always providing massive support. Thank you also to the setter, Vanessa Smith, for making the event happen.

The computer glitch was eventually fixed so all of you non-KOers do not have to move south of the river.
