MTBO 2018 WA Long Distance Championships

Location: Farrell Grove, off Mundaring Weir Road

Come and enjoy the MTBO Long Distance Championships at an MTBO favourite venue close to the city. While part of the Kalamunda map used for this event was used for the middle distance event in 2017, the map has been extended by Ricky Thackray so takes in substantial new territory. Pre-entry is open so enter today and ride the Championship courses.

Enter on the Day (EOD) recreational courses will also be available for those just starting out in MTBO events.

Presentations: All MTBO participants and there suporters are welcome to a BBQ and the championship presentations from 12:30pm on the Sunday at Farrell Grove post event.

Facilities: Toilet and tent shelter
Bring: Sportident e-tag (or borrow one on the day), mapboard, compass (optional), bike, HELMET (no helmet no start), water, gloves, shoes, nous
Map: Kalamunda 1:20000, 5m contours, A3 all courses

Registration: Enter on the day registrations from 9:00am
Start Times:  Pre-allocated start times from 9:30am for championship courses.
Start times will be announced in Eventor the Tuesday prior to the event
Enter on the day will be available on limited non-championship courses and starts will be after the last championship starters.
EOD Courses: Medium 16km and Short approx 8.5km
Courses Close: 1:00pm

Directions: From Kalamunda
From the intersection of Mead St and Railway Terrace in Kalamunda, travel east along Mundaring Weir Road for some 12 kilometers, passing the intersections with Aldersyde Rd, then Paulls Valley Rd. Travel on past Lockwood Rd to the intersection with Ashendon Rd. The Farrell Grove carpark turnoff is then 300m further on the left.
