Owen Avenue, Falcon

Keep your wheels rolling in April with an urban mountain bike orienteering event exploring Falcon. On a new map situated on the estuary side of Old Coast Road, the area is almost totally flat and takes in relaxing paths alongside the estuary, conservation reserve and suburbia. Find the controls in any order you choose and write your answers on your question sheet, so make sure to bring a pen along. This event is less a race, more an adventure to find points of interest. A great way to get into bike based navigation or tune up your skills for future bush MTBO events.

Make it a family day to kick off the school holidays with the kids course, for younger riders, entirely off road and there are BBQs and playground very close to the start area.

Assembley Area: Grassed area at south end of Owen Ave, just north of Novara Boat Ramp.
Registration from 9am
Start Time: 9.30am MASS START
Courses Close: 12.30pm
Courses: Kids (6km), Short (10km), Medium (20km). Long (33km).

Don't forget to bring sunscreen, your bike and mapboard (if you have one), a pen to write your answers and your helmet. As usual, there'll be friendly people on hand to assist you with planning and registration if you need it and newcomers are welcome. Remember: No helmet, no start.
