Cottesloe Civic Centre, Napier Street, Cottesloe
Even when you think you know a suburb, a new metro map can surprise you. This week well known, long time WA orienteer Tony Simpkins is both mapper and setter. Cottesloe is not the simple grid that a glance at your street directory might lead you to believe so the courses will be much more complex than you might imagine. Be prepared for a surprise! And the beach is just a short walk to cool off after the event.
Getting to the event:
Parking is available on Napier St, between Broome St and Marine Parade. There is also a large car park at the Marine Parade corner of Napier St. However, this is Cottesloe in summer, so car-pooling is recommended. The assembly area is below the steps up to the Civic Centre on Napier St, opposite the Tennis Club.
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER The Civic Centre grounds BEFORE the start as there is another event on in the Civic Centre.
Registration: 4.15pm
Start Time: 5.00pm
Courses Close: 6.15pm
Scatter Event: Mass start scatter event with 3 distance options 2-3km, 4-6km, 7-8km
