At the OAWA Annual Dinner and volunteer appreciation night the Orienteer of the Year awards were announced.
Based on performance over the year at designated State Orienteering League events, covering sprint, middle and long distance events, the awards recognise the performance and achievements in these events ranked and adjusted across age groups. This year some very close contests ensured.
There are six SOL events for the year and the best four scores count towards each competitor's total score to determine the final score for orienteer of the year. Congratulations to all.
