Over a very cool, but almost dry, weekend the Dryandra Woodland MTBO map near Narrogin was thoroughly explored by orienteers on their mountain bikes for the Be Active Mountain Bike Middle and Long Distance WA Championships.

In the Open Men 21 competition both days were won by Australian MTBO team member Ricky Thackray. MTBO Australian team manager Ian Dalton took out second place on both days. In Women 21 the Be Active Long Distance MTBO Championship was Judy Wenban, who claimed top spot ahead of Natasha Sparg.

In other age classes there were some close results. In M50 just over three minutes separated the top three on Saturday while on Sunday Lee Holliday and Ken Post were only three seconds apart.
