Sunday 8th September 2013: Wundabiniring Brook

There is only two weeks left until the State Orienteering Championships, Wundabiniring provides the perfect opportunity to keep refining your navigation skills. This weekends event in the bush provides a mixture of open areas and pockets of complex granite. The assembly area is in an open area and good for a picnic after your run.

There will be a guided active course departing at 10.00am, ensure to get to the registration caravan early to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to develop your Orienteering skills.

Registration Times: 09:00 – 11:00am Start Times: 09:30 – 11:30am Courses Close: 1:00pm sharp

Equipment: Membership Card, Sport Ident tag, compass, tick repellent, leg protection, water and whistle Facilities: Portable toilet, Cake Stall

Directions: From Midland take Great eastern Highway, then Great Southern High-way towards York (just past Lakes Roadhouse). After 14kms, turn right into Yarra Rd and then left into West Talbot Rd. Turn left into Pony Rd (just after leaving the farmland). Follow Pony Rd for about 4km and turn left and follow signs to the assembly area. Please note that Pony Rd has large puddles and requires some care to negotiate. This road is in poor condition.
