The next Orienteering event is at Mt Billy next Sunday, 7th April. Mt Billy is in the upper Helena Valley, just over half-way from Perth to York – see detailed directions below, or open Eventor for Google Map.

The area is mainly open Wandoo forest with granite outcrops and complex gully systems. Please note the early registration and start times. There will be easy Starter courses of 2-3kms for beginners, and three Expert courses.  An Active course of 3-4km is available for those with some Orienteering experience.

Members of the public are welcome at this event and OAWA Instructors will be available to help beginners.

Registration will be open from 9.00am to 11.00am, with the start times from 9.30am to 11.30am.  

Facilities available: toilets, water on courses and at the start and finish, cold drinks and cake on sale.  

Directions (allow approx. 1 hour from Perth):
Take Great Eastern Highway for approx. 50kms to The Lakes Roadhouse, where you turn right into Great Southern Highway towards York.  12kms further on, turn right into Yarra Road; there will be Orienteering signs at the turn-off, but take care.  After 2kms, go straight on at a crossroad onto a gravel road, and follow this for approx. 5kms to the Event.
