NavRun 2 Swan Regional Park

The next event in the NavRun series explores the eastern suburbs of Midvale and Middle Swan for the Swan Regional Park event. This area has been used in the distant past for Metro Series events, but the map has had a complete overhaul and is drawn to sprint standards. Courses may use a variety of terrain types including open and semi-open bushland, various parks and reserves, the TAFE campus as well as a few creeks.

Note parts of the bush were burnt out recently but that just means it's more open. You may expect to get your feet wet depending on route choice as the creeks were flowing last time the setter was out! However, they are easily crossable in several places. Courses are of a moderate to easy standard and may utilise a variety of linear features for navigation or you can take more direct options for the more adventurous navigators.

Courses: Easy (2.5km), Short (3.5km), and Long (5.8km). These distances are roughly the optimal distance
Registration: Pre-entry (preferred) is available via Eventor. You will also be able to enter on the day at the event.
Start Times: From 9am to 10:30am.
Courses Close: Noon. You need to return to the assembly area by this time, whether or not you complete the course.
Facilities: Toilets are located in the sports complex.
Parking: Midland Sports Complex, Patterson Dr, Middle Swan. The start and finish are both within sight of the parking lot.
Please bring: Bring your SI card and compass or these can be borrowed at the event. Also bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a whistle, a hat and water bottle (plus water and electrolytes for after you finish), and comfortable walking or running shoes.
