Join us at Yalbunullup MTB Trails (north end of Lake Joondalup) for a dynamic and inclusive MTBO (Mountain Bike Orienteering) score event designed for all abilities and all types of movement!

๐Ÿšด Event Format

This is a 2-hour score event with a mass start at 9:00am.
There are 100 controls available across the map โ€” collect as many or as few as you like.

  • Plan your own route
  • Choose your own pace
  • Set your own challenge

If you manage to collect all 100 controls within 2 hours, youโ€™ll earn a well-deserved ice cream reward.

๐Ÿ›ž All Wheels Welcome

Participants can take part using:

  • Mountain bikes
  • Gravel bikes
  • Road bikes (note: some terrain limitations)
  • E-bikes
  • Scooters
  • Rollerskis
  • Or on foot

This event is suitable for beginners, families, and experienced competitors alike.

  • Paper map provided (A3, double-sided)
  • Scale: 1:12,500 with 5m contours
  • MTB park inset: 1:5,000
  • Punching via the MapRun smartphone app

๐ŸŒฟ Terrain

The course includes a diverse mix of:

  • MTB trail networks
  • Urban streets
  • Lake paths (paved and unpaved, including sand)
  • Parkland areas
  • Small pine forest sections

The full lake loop is approximately 16km, with a continuous paved path available.

  • Mass briefing: 8:50am
  • Mass start: 9:00am
  • Courses close: 11:00am (time penalties apply after)
