All welcome! Join us for the first MTBO (Mountain Bike Orienteering) event of 2026! The MapRun 2 hour score event will commence with a 9am mass start. Come and try MTBO - this event is suitable for all cyclists (MTB, road, gravel or ebike), and runners, beginners and families are all welcome.

The event uses a 1:10,000 map extending from Point Walter, Bicton through to Heathcote, Applecross with over 50 controls allowing for plenty of route choice.

Pre-entry is preferred and is available via Eventor. If you are not a member of OWA but would like to enter online, you will need to register an account on Eventor before completing your entry. Then, once logged into Eventor, select the event and enter and pay online. See our guide for How to register on Eventor.

Start Times: Briefing at 8:50am; mass start at 9:00am.
Duration: 2 hours.
Courses Close: 11:00pm. Please return to the assembly area by this time.
Timing: MapRun app. If you don't have it yet, download it now: https://maprunners.weebly.com/.
Bring: Your bike; helmet; water bottle; map board*; and compass*. (* Map boards and compasses can be borrowed at the event.)
Also bring: Fully charged mobile phone with MapRun installed.
