The 2026 orienteering year is off to a great start with a sprint at ECU Joondalup. Although ECU Joondalup has held a number of events before, the map has been updated to include multilevel areas, which tripped some people up.

Kate Klyukina set a great course but had to travel to Russia, so couldn’t make it on the day. Oliver put the controls out and made sure everything was running smoothly, while Helen Post welcomed newcomers and visitors from interstate and Sweden.

Thanks to Ricky and Tash Thackray, the Dufty clan, Paul Dowling, and Chris Drury for helping collect controls and pack up. And thanks to Oliver for all his hard work on the event.

Results are available on Eventor. Compare your run with others through Livelox.
