Are you ready to MetrO? Our first event for the 2024-25 season is fast approaching. Come along to the riverside suburb of Ashfield in the Town of Bassendean. The assembly area will be in Sandy Beach Reserve, on West Road.

Pre-entry is preferred and is available via Eventor until 4pm on Saturday, November 9th.

If you are not a member of OWA but would like to enter online, you will need to register an account on Eventor before completing your entry. Then, once logged into Eventor, select the event and enter and pay online. See our guide for How to register on Eventor.

Enter-on-the-day (EOD) will be available at the event until 4.40pm, if you are unable to enter beforehand.
Courses: Three courses will be available - Short (2-3km), Medium (4-6km) and Long (7-8km).
Beginners' briefing: 4:45pm.
Main event briefing:
4:50pm.
Start Time:
Mass start, at 5pm.
Courses Close: 6:15pm. Please return to the assembly area by this time, even if you have not finished your course.
Facilities: Toilets, playground, and BBQs if you want to stay on after the event and cook your dinner.
Bring: Your SI card and compass or these can be borrowed at the event. Also bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and water bottle (plus water for after you finish), a whistle, and comfortable walking or running shoes.
