Malmalling

This area was mapped 25 years ago and there are significant changes to old fence lines, tracks and vegetation boundaries. See the Information flyer for more detail. The area to be used for Courses 1-4 comprises a steep and rocky ridge with areas of slow run (50-80%) and an area of much flatter and faster open running towards later parts of the courses. Courses 5-7 will use the flatter terrain.

Entries for the State Championships close Sunday, August 6th at 23:59, but some courses will be available to enter on the day.

Entries via Eventor are open. Pre-entry only for State Championships.
Courses: Courses 1-7 (see Information flyer on Eventor.) 
Enter on the day: Available for Courses 4-7 after Championship classes have started. Registration will close at 10.30am to allow time to walk to the start.
Walk to start: The start for ALL courses will be a remote start 1400m with 35m climb from the assembly area. This will be along a marked route on gravel roads with the final 200m including a 15m climb in terrain. ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME TO GET TO THE START.
Map scale: 1:10,000.
Start times: From 9:30 to 11:30am.
Courses close: 1.00pm. Please return to the assembly area by this time, even if you have not finished your course.
Bring: Your SI card and compass if you have one, or these can be borrowed at the event. Also bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and a water bottle, and comfortable walking or running shoes.
Facilities: Toilet.
What not to bring: Your dog! Remember that dogs are not permitted at bush events.
