SOL weekend: Araluen & Little Frazzle

Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th June

This weekend brings a double-header with a NavDash event on Saturday 17th and a Bush event on Sunday 18th June!

Both of these are State Orienteering League (SOL) events, so you'll be able to earn some OY points. In addition, both events are WA Schools Team Selection Events. They are also suitable for beginners and families.

NavDash 5 - Araluen (SOL)

Saturday 17th June, Roleystone

Come and explore the beautiful Araluen Botanic Park. No bush bashing is allowed, but the maze of paths will give you plenty to think about. Oh, and it's NOT flat! After completing your course, you can fully explore the ups and downs and the historic features of the Park.

Pre-entry via Eventor is strongly preferred.
Assembly area: Rose Garden car park. See the Park map.
Start times: 1pm-2.30pm.
Courses: Easy, Short, Medium, Long.
Courses close: 3.30pm.
Facilities: Toilets, BBQs. (The cafe will most likely be closed from 1pm so BYO food and drinks.)
Entry fee: The park entry fee will be waived for those who have pre-entered the event.

More information is available in Eventor.

Bush 5 - Little Frazzle (SOL)

Sunday 18th June - near Beverley

The area was first mapped in 2011 for the Easter carnival but has hardly been used since. It is generally open running terrain on a small ridge, perhaps best described as a miniature version of Umuna. SI controls will be operating in SI AIR mode for this event, but any other type of SI stick can be used.

Pre-entry via Eventor is strongly preferred. Entries close 5pm, 17th June.
Start times: 9.30-11.30am.
Courses: H1-H4, M, E, VE.
Courses close: 3.30pm.
Facilities: Toilets.
Directions: Little Frazzle is NOT situated at Frazzle Rock. Please see the location and directions in Eventor.

More information is available in Eventor, including the Information flyer.
