Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre, Dwellingup

With many controls close to the event centre in town, this event is well suited to beginners, families, gravel bikes, and even walkers/runners (enter foot class). E-bikes welcome - enter the E - Bike class! No bike? No problem! You can hire a mountain bike or e-bike from Dwellingup Adventures the start location for $35.

The map is based around the flatter terrain near the town and Marrinup circuit and does not extend to the steeper Murray Valley area. The terrain is flat to moderately hilly, with mostly good gravel roads and tracks, some slightly overgrown and less distinct, but generally rideable. There are a few motorbike tracks and some new MTB specific single tracks. You may need to cross Pinjarra Williams Rd and Dell Park Rd close to town in a 50 or 80 kph zone. Plan your course to minimise crossing these roads. Parts of these roads are marked as forbidden routes and you must not ride along or cross these sections. You may want to cross the railway - there are allowed crossing points mapped. Note that the Hotham Valley train runs on Sunday.

We will be using the MapRun6 app;to record your visit to the control sites. There will be no conventional flags and SI bricks at control sites. You will still have a paper map. See instructions for using MapRun6. If you are having trouble sourcing a phone then send a message to the contact email on Eventor. If you are having trouble installing MapRun6 on your phone then get to the event early (8.30am) so we can help you.
