Coaching and Training

Don Mason, Jill Elderfield, Harry Nicholson and Peter O'Loughlin are accredited orienteering coaches and are always happy to share their learning experiences, as well as their 'mistakes experiences'. Contact our coaches by email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

There are many other club members with knowledge and experience. Please do not hesitate to ask them for help.Orienteering WA conducts training days and provides coaching opportunities. All members are welcome to take advantages of these opportunities.

Juniors

Our club has a dynamic group of Juniors. Some are aiming for National selection, some are just aiming to spike all the controls on their course,
Some are learning to read a map and some enjoy playing in the puddles on wet days. Their enjoyment of orienteering is far more important than their results at an event.

Please help them enjoy orienteering. Most children enjoy looking for and finding controls in the company of other children. A short course can seem very long and uninteresting to a youngster who is merely following an adult.

Other Orienteering Opportunties

The 'Nomads' is the WA Orienteering Team and is a group of outstanding athletes.

SWOT members enjoy orienteering at their chosen level.
