SmokeFree Policy
Orienteering Western Australia ( ) acknowledges that smoking is detrimental to the development and maintenance of good health both for individuals and for the community. As an organisation that seeks to enhance health, will model SmokeFree behaviours to its constituents.
will:

ensure that all enclosed public places, used by , are SmokeFree in accordance with WA Government legislation

ensure that the assembly area at Orienteering events is SmokeFree

ensure that all social functions (including junior events, competitions, dinners, fundraising events and meetings) are SmokeFree
-
ensure that coaches, trainers, volunteers and officials refrain from smoking while acting in an official capacity
-
ensure that members of the Western Nomads refrain from smoking
-
ensure that SmokeFree behaviour is incorporated into the code of behaviour for coaches, administrators and participants
-
ensure that cigarettes are not sold (including from vending machines) in venues under 's control.

promote the SmokeFree message in the newsletter, on the website, and by other means as appropriate
